Flight Sergeant Tom Kenneth Whitfield

Tom's son Aidan Whitfield was at Woodvale on 19 May and passed over to Aldon some priceless artefacts relating to his father's time with the Squadron including copies of his log book, scans of excellent squadron photographs with all names attached plus specific stories about some of his fathers exploits. He corrected the story in Beware! Beware! The History of 611 Sqn, on page 92 about his father force landing at Detling when he actually landed at Hawkinge. Proved by the Hawkinge 540 and showing how 540's are fallable with two pilots and their places of landing transposed.

Some additional photos are included.
